Terms of Use
Last updated 6 August 2026
These terms apply when you create an account on yaranaa.com, request a spot at a gathering, or attend one. Please read them before you join. By signing up, you agree to them.
Who we are
Yaranaa is a community that organises small, curated social gatherings in Pune. In these terms, “Yaranaa”, “we” and “us” mean that operation, and “you” means the person using the site or attending a gathering.
You must be 21 or older
Yaranaa is for adults aged 21 and above. By creating an account you confirm that you are 21 or older. We may ask for photo ID at any gathering, and we may close an account if we find the age given was untrue.
Joining a gathering
- Some gatherings are open to join instantly. Others need approval. You request a spot, we review it, and you'll hear either way by email.
- A request is not a booking. Your place is confirmed only once we approve you and, for paid gatherings, once your payment has been received.
- Places are limited. We may decline a request without giving a reason.
- The exact venue address of a private gathering is shared only after your place is confirmed.
Payment
Payments are handled by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. The price shown when you request a spot is the price you pay, even if the listed price changes afterwards.
Cancellations and refunds are covered separately on our Refunds & Cancellations page, which forms part of these terms.
Alcohol
Yaranaa does not sell, serve, supply or include alcohol. Nothing you pay us is for a drink, and no part of a ticket price covers one.
Some gatherings are held at licensed venues such as restaurants, cafés and pubs. If you buy a drink there, that is a transaction between you and the venue. The venue is responsible for its own licence and for checking the age of anyone it serves. Maharashtra law applies to that purchase, including the minimum ages for beer, wine and spirits, and the requirement to hold a consumption permit.
We may ask anyone who appears intoxicated to leave a gathering, with no refund.
No drugs, ever
Narcotic and psychotropic substances are absolutely prohibited at any Yaranaa gathering. There is no discretion here and no warning. Anyone found with them is removed immediately and permanently banned, and we will report the matter to the police where the law requires it.
If you become aware of anything of this kind at a gathering, tell the host at once.
How to behave
We run small gatherings where people meet strangers. That only works if everyone is decent. You agree to:
- Treat everyone with respect, and accept 'no' the first time.
- Not harass, threaten, intimidate or touch anyone without their consent.
- Not photograph or record anyone who has asked you not to.
- Not use a gathering to sell, recruit or market anything.
- Respect the venue, its staff and its rules.
- Not share another attendee's contact details or personal information without their permission.
We may remove you from a gathering, cancel your place or close your account if you break any of this. Where someone is removed for their conduct, no refund is given.
What we are and aren't responsible for
We organise gatherings and choose the venues. We are responsible for doing that with reasonable care. We are not responsible for:
- What another attendee does or says, at a gathering or afterwards.
- The acts, omissions, food, drink, service or premises of a venue or any other third party.
- Anything that arises from information you chose to share with another attendee.
- Your travel to or from a gathering.
- Whether a gathering meets your personal expectations, or who else turns up.
Meeting new people carries ordinary risks, and you attend voluntarily and at your own risk. Use the same judgement you would use meeting anyone new.
Where we are liable to you, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the gathering in question. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Changes and cancellations by us
We may change the time, venue or format of a gathering, or cancel it. We'll tell you by email as early as we can. If we cancel, you get a full refund. If we make a significant change and you no longer want to attend, tell us before the gathering and we'll refund you.
Your account
Keep your login details to yourself and give us accurate information. You can ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we may keep a record of past attendance and payments where we're required to.
Grievances
Kaushal Walimbe is our Grievance Officer. Complaints about the platform, an event, another attendee, or your personal data go to him. Details are on the contact page. We acknowledge within 24 hours and aim to resolve within 15 days.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Pune, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version on this page at the time you join a gathering is the one that applies to it.
